SAA7824 + DA11 Optimized Disc System
CT90 employs the classic DA11 laser head combined with the SAA7824 servo system, operating at standard single-speed playback. This highly optimized configuration ensures accurate disc reading, reduced mechanical noise, and consistent long-term reliability—hallmarks of true audiophile CD playback.
MOA-CD Support with Triple Output Modes
Supporting MOA-CD discs and MOA files, CT90 offers three selectable output modes: Full Decoder (4×), Core Decoder (2×), and MOA Source Mode. This flexibility allows precise matching with different DAC capabilities to achieve optimal sonic performance.
Dedicated Upsampling Circuit (All-to-PCM / All-to-DSD)
Equipped with a dedicated CT7302 upsampling chipset, CT90 can reshape digital signals into PCM or DSD formats before output, ensuring ideal signal delivery to downstream DACs. Upsampling is supported via I²S, AES, and Coaxial outputs, while USB output is excluded.
35W Linear Power Supply for Sonic Purity
A Hi-Fi-grade transformer and linear power supply provide clean, stable power with ample current reserve. Compared to switching power solutions, this design significantly lowers noise while enhancing smoothness, dynamics, and tonal density.
Top-Loading Design with Tuned CD Puck
Inspired by high-end reference CD players, CT90 features a top-loading mechanism paired with a precision-tuned CD puck. This design minimizes vibration, improves rotational stability, and enhances reading accuracy, while the tiltable CD cover allows effortless operation.
USB Drive Playback with Hi-Res Support
Beyond CD playback, CT90 supports USB drive music playback, functioning as a simplified digital music player. It supports lossless formats up to PCM 768kHz, DSD512, and MQA, providing flexible access to high-resolution music libraries. USB drives up to 2TB are recommended.
Eddict Player App Control
Using the Eddict Player app on Android and iOS, users can remotely browse USB music libraries and control both CD and USB playback. Shanling’s SyncLink technology ensures smooth and responsive operation directly from your smartphone.
