The Mg-BA driver, developed with a novel surface treatment technology, attains even greater rigidity by infusing a ceramic layer into the magnesium material, making it the thinnest diaphragm for BA drivers in the world as of December 1, 2019.
This manufacturing method not only extends high-frequency playback but also maximizes the "high damping" property of magnesium, reducing the specific metallic resonances that can hinder audio reproduction. This results in a smoother, more natural, and fatigue-free sound.

Magnesium Diaphragm Balanced Armature Driver
In the H1, FitEar have adopted the Magnesium Diaphragm Balanced Armature (Mg-BA) driver developed by ONKYO.
The Mg-BA driver, through a newly developed special surface treatment technology, achieves even higher rigidity by penetrating a ceramic layer into the magnesium material, making it the world's thinnest diaphragm for BA drivers as of December 1, 2019.
This manufacturing process not only extends high-frequency reproduction but also maximizes the "high damping" property of magnesium, suppressing the resonances inherent in metal materials that hinder audio playback. It results in reproducing a smoother, more natural, and fatigue-free sound experience.
Exploiting the Strengths of the Driver with a '1+1' Configuration.
The magnesium diaphragm balanced armature driver possesses few peaks in the mid to high-frequency range and combines crispness and richness in the mid to high range, alongside a tight low-frequency response, allowing it to represent the entirety of music with just a single unit. However, when enclosed within the ear canal space, sound is inevitably attenuated on the high-frequency side due to the inherent characteristics of sound itself.
In the H1, to capitalize on the strengths of the driver, we have adopted a "1+1" configuration, providing slight high-frequency reinforcement to the single full-range unit.
This "1+1" configuration originates from the development of hybrid models that began with the release of "FitEar Air" in 2015. Without altering the full-range unit, we add an additional unit responsible for the high-frequency band to reinforce the high-frequency side, maximizing the allure of the driver.
FitEar Proprietary 'Middle-Leg" Shell Design
The mid-leg shell is a new concept in shell design developed to achieve both sound isolation and wearing comfort. This shell design, which applies the know-how gained from the development of FitEar Air, the world's first product to use the innovative short-leg shell, is slightly shorter at the tip of the shell compared to the regular FitEar custom ear monitors. This allows for a more comfortable and lightweight fit than conventional FitEar ear monitors, while providing superior sound isolation and environmental adaptability only possible with custom ear monitors. The new FitEar Custom Ear Monitors provide a comfortable fit for both new and existing FitEar ear monitors.
