Ice Crystal Titanium
A crystalline titanium faceplate in teal, cyan, blue, and copper-orange, set into a compact black shell. The dominant color changes as light moves across the plate - cooler in daylight, warmer indoors as the copper comes forward. It reads as technical rather than decorative, which suits what is underneath.
TwinCore: two complete tunings
Most tuning switches nudge one frequency band. TwinCore reloads both the low-frequency and high-frequency sections of the crossover, so the entire balance moves. Blue: more weight, smoother top, easier to sit with. Red: tighter bass outline, more separation, more air. Two tunings, one monitor, no software.
10mm PET dynamic woofer
PET sits in a useful middle ground as a diaphragm material: stiff enough to hold its shape under pressure, damped enough to stop a note when the recording stops asking for it. In practice the bass has physical push and a clean finish - kick drums land, basslines keep their texture, and nothing hangs around past its welcome.
Four balanced armatures, one coherent whole
Two armatures cover the midrange, where vocals and instrumental tone are judged. Two more extend the top end, carrying cymbal decay and room cues without turning them to glitter. The 3-way passive crossover does the sorting, so the handoff between dynamic and armature does not announce itself.
Small shell, honest seal
The universal shell sits close to the ear without the bulk of larger monitors. LiquidMorph eartips come in multiple sizes, and finding yours takes minutes - it is the cheapest upgrade in the box. Seal first, then judge the sound.
Three terminations, one cable
3.5mm for everything analog. 4.4mm balanced for DAPs and compact DAC/amps. USB-C with a built-in DAC for phones, tablets, and laptops - the plug decodes the audio itself instead of relying on the device's sound hardware. Swapping the plug takes seconds and covers most of the sources you will use this year. ---
